1. Is smoking allowed?
Our rooms, as the whole hotel is NON-SMOKING. We kindly ask you to respect who comes after you. In our courtyard, equipped with tables and chairs, we provide guests with a comfortable smoking environment.

2. How long does it take to reach the city centre?
We are located on the top of the Esquilino, one of the seven mythical hills, on which Rome was built and next to the wonderful papal basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, chosen by the current pope as his burial place. The area is part of the first historical district of Rome, Monti. You can easily walk to the main attractions from the Coliseum to the Spanish Steps in a maximum of 10 to 30 minutes.

3. How can I reach Vatican City?
The walking distance from our hotel is 50 minutes. The Basilica of San Pietro is in any case well connected by metro line A from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and bus lines 64 and 40 Express. Excellent solution is also the taxi whose cost is not high (around 15.00 Euro).

4. What is the City tax and how much is the price?
From 1 January 2011 the city of Rome introduced the City Tax (Resolution of the City Council No. 67 dated 28/29 July 2010). Each guest who is not resident in Rome is required the amount of 5.00 Euro per night (maximum 10 nights). Children under 10 years do not pay tourist tax.

5. Are dogs allowed? What is the daily cost?
We only accept small dogs. There is no extra charge. Owners are kindly requested to notify the hotel when booking.

6. Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have free WIFI in the rooms and in the lobby of the reception. Thanks to fiber optics and Access Points, our hotel is able to provide guests with high Internet speeds, more stable and reliable access and better coverage throughout the hotel. In the lobby guests can work or relax, taking advantage of the free Wi-Fi and the coffee machine even after check out.

7. Where can I park and how much does it cost?
Our hotel does not have a parking. The solution for those traveling by car is to park the car in a private garage. In the area of Termini Station, a 7-minute walk from our hotel there are several parking spaces open 24 h and bookable online, among other ES PARK GIOLITTI e MuoviAmo Roma Termini. The average cost is E 40 per day. The cheapest solution is to look for place on the blue stripes in the city streets at a cost of about 8.00 Euro per day, although finding it sometimes requires a little patience. We remind our customers traveling by car that our hotel is located outside the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL).

8. Is Hotel Santa Prassede in the ZTL?
Our hotel is located outside the Limited Traffic Zone, you do not need any authorization to reach it by car.

9. How can I get to the hotel from the airport and vice versa?
Our Hotel is well connected to the Central Station (Termini Station) within walking distance and to the airports thanks to its proximity. The city of Rome has two airports: the airport of Fiumicino FCO, the international airport and the airport of Ciampino CIA, where mainly low cost flights land. Ciampino Airport is 13.5 km from Roma Termini Central Station and is connected by a bus shuttle system. Once in Termini you will reach our hotel in a few minutes on foot. The non-stop Leonardo Express train connects Fiumicino airport with Termini station (23.6 km). Arrived at Roma Termini Central Station you will reach our hotel in a few minutes walk. Alternatively you can opt for official taxis. The flat rate to and from Fiumicino Airport is E 55, to and from Ciampino Airport is E 40. Beware of unlicensed taxis, it can cost very expensive! The cars used for the taxi service of Roma Capitale are white and have on the roof the words TAXI, at the front doors is applied the symbol of Roma Capitale and the license number. Before leaving, check that the meter is switched on. If it is not switched on, ask the driver to activate it.

10. If I arrive before check in time can I leave my luggage?
Of course, we keep your luggage free of charge. We kindly ask our guests to inform us of their arrival time to ensure the best reception.

11. Can I leave my luggage after check out?

12. When is my room ready?
The rooms are ready from 2 PM on the day of arrival. Upon availability we can give our guests the opportunity to check in earlier - Early check in, and take possession of their room before.

13. What time should I leave the room?
On the day of departure the rooms must be left at 10.30. Upon availability we can give our guests the opportunity to leave it by noon, at no extra cost. Guests can in any case leave their luggage free of charge until the time of departure.

14. How much do I pay for late check out?
From noon until 2 pm for late check-out, a surcharge of 30% of the room rate is required. From 2pm onwards the full price of the room is due. Please contact us to check availability together.

15. Until what time can you check in?
Late check in is available. It is possible to check in after midnight. We ask our guests the kindness to tell us the time of arrival in order to ensure the best possible welcome.

16. How far from Termini station?
We are 710 meters from Roma Termini Central Station, easily reachable in about 7 minutes on foot.

17. Does the Hotel Santa Prassede have an elevator?
No. Our hotel is located in a 17th century building and therefore has no elevator. We have rooms reachable by a few steps. We ask our customers to specify when booking the need to stay on a low floor.

18. When can I cancel my booking without penalty?
Cancellation depends on the type of rate chosen at the time of booking: - The standard rate provides for free cancellation up to 48 hours before the arrival date, after this period the penalty is equal to the cost of the first night of stay. - The non-refundable rate does not allow for changes or cancellations, so in case of cancellation the penalty is 100% of the cost of the stay.

19. Which credit cards are accepted?

20. Is it possible to book a double room for one person?
Yes, you can, you will find our DUS type in the booking menu.

21. Is it possible to have a room with separate beds?
Yes, you can have a twin room. Our double rooms are especially prepared with separate beds for guests who request it. Please specify at the time of booking that you would like a twin room.

22. Are children up to two years free of charge?
Yes, children up to 2 years can sleep for free in bed with parents. Upon notice at the time of booking we can add the baby cot in the room, without any increase in cost.

23. Does the hotel offer Daily Housekeeping Service?
Cleanliness matters. There's nothing like the feeling of checking into or returning to a clean room. Our hotel offer a daily housekeeping service. The service is included in the price of your stay. We restock amenities and provide fresh towels, change the bed linen and remove the garbage.

24. Is Rome a dangerous city, is it safe to walk around in the night?
With a safety index of 64, Rome was considered the 29th safest city to live in by the Economist in 2021. The majority of crime in Rome is petty crime such as pickpocketing, scams or theft. So don't leave your bag unattended, when you sit in a coffee or restaurant and watch your mobile phone, money and camera, if you use the bus and the subway.
