Located in a 17th century building, decorated with the coat of arms of the Bees, symbol of the powerful Barberini family, the Hotel Santa Prassede is located on top of the Esquilino hill, the highest point of Rome, a few meters from the wonderful papal basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, chosen by the current pope as his burial place. We are in the enchanting Rione Monti, the first of the districts, a picturesque and evocative area of the City Center, between the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums and the Termini station. The building with the warm colors of the Roman tradition overlooks the church of Santa Prassede, a small hidden jewel, which gives its name to the homonymous lane, paved with the Sanpietrini, characteristic for centuries, of the road surface of Rome.
Our Boutique Hotel wants to preserve a convivial and more intimate atmosphere and a warm hospitality to make guests feel at homen and welcome. We have a particular care and attention to detail. Our rooms all have their own identity and personality. The lights and design decorations with their colors form an atmosphere full of charm and gentle. To create a simple and functional space we chose to make the furniture handmade. The same philosophy inspired the choice to keep part of the wooden furniture and use vintage armchairs and chairs for their individual character. Particular attention is paid to cleaning. Although different from each other, both in the cut and in the decorative furnishings, all rooms have the same comforts.

We are available to our guests 7 days a week, 24 hours. On the day of departure the rooms must be left at 10.30. Upon availability we can give our guests the opportunity to leave it by noon, at no extra cost.
